Design and supply of CFB steam generator for Hanwha Energy Corporation

Amec Foster Wheeler announces today the award of a contract by Hanwha Energy Corporation for the design and supply of a 100megawatt (MWe) circulating fluidised-bed (CFB) steam generator for a new power plant located in Gunsan City in South Korea.

Under the contract, Amec Foster Wheeler will design and supply the 100 MWe steam generator for the power plant’s boiler island and provide onsite technical advisory services. Commercial operation of the plant is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.

This will be the seventh CFB steam generator that we have supplied to Hanwha Energy Corporation.  We are proud of our strong relationship with Hanwha Energy Corporation and their commitment to our environmentally friendly CFB technology.
