Amec Foster Wheeler announces today the award of two contracts by Iberdrola Generación México, S.A de C.V. for the design and supply of two Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) in Mexico.

Under the new contracts, Amec Foster Wheeler will design, supply and provide erection and commissioning assistance for HRSGs at two cogeneration facilities. The Iberdrola San Juan Del Rio cogeneration facility will be located in Querataro, Estado de Mexico. The Iberdrola Altamira Cogeneration facility will be located in Altamira, Tamaulipas.

Installed behind GE frame 6F gas turbines, the HRSGs will recover exhaust ‘waste’ heat from the gas turbines to generate steam for process and additional power, thereby improving the overall plant efficiency without increasing the fuel consumption. The two facilities will be operational in 2017.

We are pleased to have received another award in Mexico in addition to recent HRSG wins in the country. This confirms our position as a key supplier and strategic player for the industrial cogeneration market in Mexico.
