Amec Foster Wheeler announces today that at the invitation of the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) it took part in the national School Safety Seminar for 2015 held at ITE College East.

Amec Foster Wheeler’s invitation to participate follows the company being awarded a gold award for Workplace Safety & Health Performance and four Safety & Health Recognition Project awards at the Singapore 2015 Workplace Safety & Health Awards earlier this year.

The MOE School Safety Seminar is organised annually to educate schools and share best practice to help build a culture of safety awareness. This year’s seminar was attended by over 700 participants which included supervisors from each of the MOE’s schools.

The theme of the seminar was I can prevent injuries and be healthy in schools. The MOE invited guest speakers from Amec Foster Wheeler and the Workplace Safety and Health Institute to share their models and approaches for workplace safety and health. Representatives included David J Armstrong, Amec Foster Wheeler’s Director of Project Delivery for Asia Pacific, and Dr Gan Siok Lin, Executive Director of the Workplace Safety Health Institute Singapore.
