Wood Group company The Automated Technology Group could not be more proud of its apprentices and their achievements. The ATG Academy apprentices are always looking for a new challenge and The Automated Technology Group is delighted to be supporting them at the Industrial Control Competition to be held at the upcoming Skills Show, which is being held in Birmingham, UK, between 19 November and 21 November.
The Skills Show is the UK’s largest careers event. Attended by over 75,000 visitors, it connects young people with businesses across a broad range of industries, allowing them to learn more about training and employment opportunities and helping them find the most suitable career pathway.
The Industrial Controls Competition brings together young talented engineers from all across the UK, giving them the platform to showcase their skills and gain recognition from experienced industry specialists. At last year’s event The Automated Technology Group’s apprentices, James Mason and Josh Russell, brought the company the Gold Medal, finishing with a fantastic score of 92%.
James and Josh will be taking part in the competition again this year. Altogether The Automated Technology Group will be represented by two teams, with the second team consisting of Yestin Lamptey and Bradley Crisp. All apprentices have been showing truly amazing results throughout The ATG Academy programme and the company wishes them the best of luck at the event.
The Industrial Control Competition will be taking place on 19 November finishing at midday on 21 November, with the winners announced at a prestigious awards ceremony later on in the evening.
