The First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, witnessed a partnership deal for SgurrEnergy, a leading renewable energy consultancy, in Beijing, China.
The First Minister arrived in Beijing for a group signing ceremony on 27th July 2015, organised by Scottish Development International. Involving six Scottish companies and their respective clients, the event celebrated innovation and success between the UK and China.
The ceremony saw SgurrEnergy, a Wood Group company, partner with Chinese lidar manufacturer, OASIS, in a deal which will complement the company’s package of wind farm SgurrOptimiser services.
The agreement is worth several million GBP to SgurrEnergy and will create 20 new jobs in Scotland over the next three years. Read more here.
