NASA’s vision is to reach for new heights and reveal the unknown so that what they do and learn will benefit all humankind. Now that’s what we call innovation and we were delighted to be able to exchange ideas and lessons with them on two occasions.
Last year, NASA contacted us after seeing information about our safety culture on social media. They were interested in learning more about our overall commitment to Safety and Assurance so we took part in a session to explore what it means to be a safety professional.
Following this interaction, business improvement manager, David Millar contacted NASA to learn how they manage and execute repairs on the International Space Station. The result was the Wood Group PSN team took a very different approach to improving the repair order process, which resulted in an innovative solution.
