Amec Foster Wheeler awarded Bruce Power Strategic Supplier Master Services Agreement

Amec Foster Wheeler announces today the award of a six-year Strategic Supplier Master Services Agreement with Bruce Power in Canada for the provision of an extensive range of engineering and project management services. This agreement will enable Amec Foster Wheeler to continue the expansion of its support to Bruce Power, enhancing job security for its employees, and providing employment opportunities for Ontarians.

As a key strategic supplier, Amec Foster Wheeler will help Bruce Power achieve success in its focus on planning and executing Major Component Replacement Outages and executing a wide-ranging asset management campaign, all aligned to support Ontario’s long term energy plan.

Bruce Power is Canada’s first private nuclear generator, providing 30% of Ontario’s power. Its eight units provide over 4,000 full-time, direct jobs to highly skilled employees, and thousands more indirectly.

Amec Foster Wheeler has some 3,000 nuclear specialists and have been a primary supplier to Bruce Power for 13 years, providing key support in engineering and operational analysis including support for the Bruce Units 1 & 2 Refurbishment project.
