Wood’s chief executive Robin Watson has been recognised by the Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland for his remarkable leadership that has driven the transformation and broadening of our company.

Robin secured the IoD Scotland Director of the Year – Large Business award at the IoD Scotland Director of the Year Awards in Glasgow, Scotland on Thursday May 23.

Celebrating the talent, success and achievement of those leading businesses in Scotland, Robin was honoured among industry heavyweights representing a cross section of industries and sectors operating across the length and breadth of Scotland.

The judges commended Robin for his, “leadership in circumstances which required bold and decisive action yet maintained corporate strength, robustness and integrity.”

Speaking of the accolade, Robin said: “I am very proud of our achievements as Wood and the hard work of all our people in making it possible. The significant and sustainable opportunity we have for growth is due to our foresight, taking a transformative leap and becoming a creative, diverse and differentiated business.

“This award is great recognition of our broad and enduring position as Wood and I’m extremely honoured to receive this acknowledgement from the IoD on behalf of all the Wood teams around the world.”
