Some of our recent projects exemplify the exceptional capabilities we have to offer. We provided construction management and project management for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft interiors manufacturing plant and final assembly facility, the largest ever undertaken in the US state of South Carolina. The final result was Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified for energy efficiency, environmental design and sustainability. It includes solar panel roofing and biomass fuel to operate with 100% renewable energy consumption.
Wood has a long-running track record supporting airport development programmes worldwide, exemplified by our current role with Heathrow. Wood has supported Heathrow Airport through a number of major developments, including terminals 3 and 5, leading to our current role as environmental lead on the airport’s expansion programme. Our team is providing consultancy, innovative noise modelling, environmental assessments, conceptual design and engineering services, as well as managing the UK’s largest consultation programme.
