Wood is signaling a clear commitment to lower our carbon footprint in the next 10 years to support greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets. We have pledged to set a science-based target to reduce our scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030.

Wood is a member of the United Nations Global Compact. Our sustainability strategy is aligned to the principles of the Global Compact and seeks to advance the broader Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.
Oversight of Wood's sustainability strategy is embedded in the governance structures of the business. At Board level, sustainability is considered by the Safety, Assurance and Business Ethics (SABE) Committee which is chaired by a non-executive director and attended by the Chief Executive.
