Robin Watson is chief executive of Wood and is an executive member of its Board of Directors. He was appointed chief executive of Wood Group in January 2016, having been chief operating officer (COO) and an executive member of the Wood Group board since January 2013.
Robin has more than 30 years' engineering and industry experience, with the past 11 years spent in a variety of executive positions and being actively engaged with various industry and governmental representative bodies. Prior to joining Wood Group, Robin worked for Petrofac and Mobil Oil, working both in the UK and internationally.
He is a chartered mechanical engineer, a Fellow of both the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Energy Institute. He holds an honours degree in offshore & mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration (MBA).
Robin secured the Institute of Directors (IoD) 'Global Director of the Year award and the IoD Scotlands overall 'Director of the Year' award, in 2014.
Chief financial officer
David Kemp is chief financial officer (CFO) of Wood. Formerly CFO of Wood Group from May 2015, he joined Wood Group in 2013 as CFO of its Wood Group PSN business, and was responsible for aspects of finance and administration, IT, real estate, and legal services.
David has more than 20 years' experience in the oil & gas sector and prior to joining Wood Group, held executive roles at Trap Oil Group, Technip, Simmons and Company International, and Hess Corporation, working across finance, mergers & acquisitions and operations. David is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an honours degree in accountancy.
Chief operating officer
Ken joined Wood in September 2021 to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer.
As part of his remit, Ken is responsible for execution excellence, operational assurance and optimising and digitalising the way Wood delivers work to our global client base. He leads our Operational Committee and is focused on how we excel every day at Wood, performing, perfecting and innovating to raise the bar across our global community.
Before joining Wood, Ken spent 15 years at Jacobs where he held a variety of operational and project leadership roles including Executive Vice President of the People & Places solutions business where he held operational responsibility for more than half of Jacobs’ overall business portfolio.
Ken has worked internationally throughout his 25-year career including leading the delivery of major programmes across multiple sectors in Europe, Asia, North America, and the Middle East region.
Originally from Ireland, Ken currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife and three daughters.
Executive President, Projects
Mike has over 30 years of experience including 23 years within Wood, where he has held various senior leadership positions managing capital projects and operations delivery. He has also held key functional roles leading project delivery assurance and major integration programmes.
In his career at Wood, Mike has worked and lived in several geographical locations including Asia, Australia, the Middle East, China, Africa and Europe. He considers it a privilege to have worked in such diverse cultural environments and leverages this experience in driving the success of Wood’s Projects business globally. Prior to his current role, Mike was President of Wood’s Capital Projects business for Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia.
Mike holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and is a qualified mechanical engineer. He lives in the UK with his wife and three children.
Executive President, Operations
Stephanie joined Wood in October 2019 from Schlumberger Limited where her 28-year career with the oilfield services company spanned both operational and functional roles. Joining us from the position of president of North America Land Drilling, prior to this she was vice president of human resources and has held various senior management positions, including president of North America, president of Asia, GeoMarket manager for Gulf of Mexico, and global oilfield services information technology manager.
Stephanie has lived and worked internationally during her career including across the US states of Louisiana and Texas, Paris and Kuala Lumpur. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in materials management from Michigan State University and is married with two children; a son and a daughter.
Executive President, Consulting
Azad Hessamodini has more than 25 years’ international experience in the construction, energy, management consulting, mining services and private equity sectors. He joined Wood in 2011 and led the APAC subsea field developments, deep water engineering and asset integrity divisions before moving into the growth & development function.
Most recently, he served as President of Growth and Development for Wood's Consulting business where he was responsible for development and implementation of growth strategies, and business planning globally.
Azad has a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in civil and structural engineering and an MBA from the University of Western Australia.
Executive President, Environment & Infrastructure Consulting
Joe has more than 30 years continued service in the industry, including operational management and business development roles in consulting, engineering, operational services, and project delivery.
Joe is a registered professional engineer and past president of ACEC-Maine. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Brown University, a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MBA from the University of Southern Maine.
Prior to taking on his current role Joe was Wood’s CEO Technical Consulting Solutions (TCS) and before that Executive President of Strategy & Business Development (S&D).
He lives in Portland, Maine.
Executive President HSSE & Sustainability
Nina Schofield, executive president - HSSE & Sustainability, is responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, security, environment and sustainability strategies across our global operations.
Nina has more than 20 years' global HSSE experience with international energy services businesses, and has worked in the UK, Azerbaijan, Canada and US. She joined Wood Group in 2014 from Amec, where she was Group HSSE director.
Nina has a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Arts degree and a National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health. She is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
Executive President, People & Organisation
Lesley Birse is Executive President of People & Organisation (P&O).
Combining over 20 years of global human resources experience with her passion for harnessing the full potential of our people to enable strategic direction, her focus is on ensuring Wood is future-focused, competitive and a great place for our global community to work together.
Prior to stepping into the Executive President role in November 2021, Lesley was President, P&O for our Operations business unit, playing a pivotal role at the heart of key programmes to propel the evolution of our business and realise our strategy. This includes optimising Wood’s organisational structure through our transformational Future Fit programme, strategic workforce planning, career development, talent retention and employee engagement, as well as driving gender diversity and nationalisation as part of the company’s sustainability commitments.
She leverages over 13 years of experience with Wood and it’s legacy companies where her career has spanned leadership roles across the geographies and sectors we deliver in. Lesley held senior positions with Canadian Natural Resources (CNR), Weatherford and Baker Hughes before joining the company.
Lesley holds an MBA, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is a Board member of the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB); the skills, standards and qualifications body for the development of the engineering construction workforce in UK.
She lives in Scotland with her family and spends her time exploring new places, walking, golfing, Pilates, socialising and having fun.
Executive president, Strategy & Development
Jennifer has over 20 years’ experience in delivering best-in-class solutions for clients, leading transformational programmes and identifying strategic growth areas.
In her role, she holds executive responsibility for Wood’s growth through strategic planning, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and marketing and communications.
Before joining Wood, Jennifer worked at Jacobs where she held a variety of leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Sales for the Federal and Environmental Solutions business. Before that, she served as Senior Vice President for the Advancing National Security and Defence business where she led a worldwide team of 5000 people delivering mission-critical solutions to the U.S. Department of Defence and other government clients.
Jennifer will officially join Wood on April 18th. She lives near Washington DC, US.
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Martin McIntyre is General Counsel and Company Secretary of Wood. He joined Wood in 2000 and, since then, he has helped guide the company through major economic, market, corporate and regulatory changes.
Prior to Wood, he worked with a leading Scottish law firm, where he was a partner in the firm’s corporate department. He became General Counsel of Wood Group in 2016 and, following the Group’s acquisition of Amec Foster Wheeler plc, he was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary of the combined entity.
He has over 30 years of in-house and law firm experience including corporate transactions, litigation, compliance and legal risk management, and has led his legal teams to achieve several honors from the Legal 500 GC Powerlist, Insider Magazine and International Law Office Global Counsel Awards.
