Hear from Wood

During the conference, Wood will be delivering the presentation “Riser Tally Selection and Disconnection Challenges for Floating Mud Cap Drilling Operations” on 29 September at 13:45 in Lounge 1. Pipeline Engineer Roberto de Paula Carvalho Junior will present the paper, which is co-authored by Riser Engineer Coordinator Germain Venero and Engineer Luan Richa from Wood and Subsea Operations and Riser Analysis Coordinator Edmo Araujo das Virgens from Wood’s client Constellation Oil Services.

Experience our Technology

Visit Wood’s booth on the tradeshow floor to learn about the latest technology our teams are deploying and solutions we are delivering for clients across the energy industry. We will be demonstrating our VR capabilities, providing attendees with an opportunity to experience onshore, offshore and subsea environments.

In our operator training simulation, participants will visualize and navigate the main deck of an offshore vessel. They will be able to interact with a few objects, demonstrating the ability to optimise a deck layout or move equipment around for clearance checks. In addition, the non-VR participants can initiate a pump swap procedure.

In our subsea development simulation, participants will appear underwater where they can fly around a drill center and navigate an ROV to complete a clearance check and access study to determine if the ROV can access the torque buckets on the jumper connectors.
