We are pleased to announce Dr. Jamal Shamas has joined Wood as the new senior vice president, global industrial water leader in our Environment & Infrastructure Solutions business. Dr. Shamas will be responsible for leading and growing the full life-cycle of industrial water and wastewater services across oil and gas, chemicals, and other market sectors.
Dr. Shamas brings 32 years of experience in integrated water management consulting, strategy development, project management and business development to Wood. His work includes proven leadership in project delivery and leveraging operation and design capabilities for industrial customers within in the oil and gas sector. Dr. Shamal has completed projects in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America.
Prior to joining Wood, Dr. Shamas served as a water and wastewater market sector lead focusing on the industrial water market across the US, Canada and Latin America. Dr. Shamas is a Professional Environmental Engineer and holds a doctorate degree in Water Quality Management from Tulane University.
Dr. Shamas brings experience that further strengthens our capabilities to meet the needs of our customers with challenging industrial water issues. His expertise will be instrumental in driving the expansion of our services in the industrial water market, improving operational efficiencies, and increasing flexibility in their operations while meeting both compliance requirements and production targets.
