Wood is proud to announce that they have expanded their Environment & Infrastructure Solutions office in Edmonton, Alberta, to include Asset Solutions Americas. The office, close to Alberta’s Industrial Heartland, will build on Wood’s regional capabilities and include consulting, EPCM, commissioning, start-up and maintenance engineering services to support facility operations within Central and Northern Alberta.

Wood is an industry leader in Western Canada with presence in the in-situ, mineable oil sands, midstream, pipeline, downstream and petrochemical sectors.

Since 2012, the regional growth strategy in Canada has been led by Venkat Machiraju, director of midstream and downstream projects. This strategy has been successful in securing projects in the region’s Industrial Heartland and growing our local market presence.

To lead the ASA Group in Edmonton, Wood has brought in Michelle McGarry, as project development manager, who brings a wealth of experience in EPC execution, operations and construction.

“Supporting our customers is our top priority. With the expansion to our Edmonton office, we are closer to our customer’s facilities to enable fast paced multi-discipline teams to perform effective delivery of projects. I am excited to start this chapter with Wood,” Michelle said.

“Establishing a local presence in Edmonton is important to us. With presence and full site support, we can provide efficient engineering and construction solutions to assist customer facility production, reliability, maintenance, and operability,” said John Day, senior vice president Canada, Downstream and Chemicals.

The office is located at 5681 70 St NW Edmonton, Alberta, T6B 3P6, Canada.
