ADIPEC 2023 - Decarbonisation at scale
Inspiring a new generation of diverse talent will be critical for delivering the energy transition and enabling a more sustainable, resilient, and liveable world.
Wood is pleased to announce a new platinum sponsorship of Energy Club WA’s flagship education initiative, Next Generations Schools program, for 2021 and 2022. Wood’s sponsorship will assist in expanding the reach of the program into more schools across Western Australia.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the program has the important objective of educating secondary school students on the significant role energy plays in our society, and to provide information on the diversity of career opportunities available within the industry in a fun and interactive way.
“Our communities are dependent on the secure supply of energy and the energy transition presents a significant opportunity for students to pursue a range of long and exciting careers in our industry. We are excited about the opportunity for our people to engage directly with students and to inspire their career choices and raise awareness of the shifts in sustainable energy,” said Azad Hessamodini, President Growth and Development at Wood.
Kate McCarthy, General Manager Energy Club WA said “This year the Next Generation School program will reach over 1,000 students from 21 schools including 7 regional schools. We are pleased to welcome Wood and appreciate their commitment to supporting the future of the industry through this valuable program.”
