Wood books AUD $3bn of contracts across Asia Pacific in record year
For the fourth consecutive year, Wood’s hydrogen experts are being celebrated for their global leadership and efforts to advance the hydrogen market.
Dr. Vicky Au, Director of Strategic Advisory, Asia Pacific, has been recognised in the Policy and Regulation category for her leadership role connecting industry, government and research to inform policy and strategy development. Outcomes of her contributions have included national hydrogen research, development and demonstration programs and strategies and industry-research partnerships including building Australia's first movable hydrogen generator.
In the Industrial Use and Switching category, Suhail Diaz, Director of Future Energy, is being honoured for her leadership in developing solutions for hard-to-abate sectors. She has supported low-carbon fuel studies in the maritime industry and is also leading a Middle East & North Africa Hydrogen Working Group sponsored by the Society of Petroleum Engineers to promote collaboration across the region.
Jacqui Allen, Head of Decarbonisation Project Delivery, Americas, has been recognised in the Projects and Partnerships category for her work in energy consulting, electrification and project management, including her involvement in delivering one of the most ambitious, first of a kind clean hydrogen projects in North America which, when complete, will produce sustainable aviation fuel at scale.
Finally, Manisha Bhuskute, Carbon Advisory Consultant, has been named a Rising Star for her multidisciplinary approach to decarbonising the oil and gas sector, placing hydrogen at the centre of a sustainable transformation. Her work is bridging technical insight with policy and commercial viability to drive practical, scalable hydrogen solutions for decarbonising heavy industries.
Dan Carter, President of Technical Consulting and Decarbonisation at Wood, said: “Realising the potential of hydrogen goes beyond strong policy and investment, it requires the world’s best technical minds who can advise, design and deliver across the hydrogen value chain. These accolades underline the strong talent within Wood, ensuring projects are technically and commercially viable and executed successfully at scale.”
The Women in Hydrogen 50 list recognises women at all stages of their careers and the contributions their making to the global hydrogen economy. Previous honourees from Wood include Katherine Zimmerman and Audrey Hooper in the Industrial Use and Switching category, Suzanne Ferguson and Nishadi Davis in the Policy and Regulation category, Valentina Depetri in the Technology and Innovation category and Diana Jelenova in the Rising Star category.
