Global sustainable development powerhouse Ann Rosenberg joins Wood

New York, January 21, 2021 — Sustainability and technology leader Ann Rosenberg has joined Wood, the global consulting and engineering company, as Senior Vice President of Sustainable Development, to further strengthen the company’s leadership position in environmental, social, and corporate sustainability and technology.

Wood is focused on creating innovative solutions that will deliver a greener and more resilient world and help clients navigate the challenges of the global energy transition and the urgent need for sustainable infrastructure. Ann Rosenberg joins the company to accelerate delivery of this important strategic mission. Her innovative partnership approach and global issue leadership, will bring tangible long-term benefits to Wood’s clients.

In 2020, Ann co-founded and launched the SDG Ambition, in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact, an initiative that challenges and supports companies to transform how they operate their businesses in order to deliver on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and strengthen their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance.

In addition to supporting clients’ sustainability objectives and ESG programs, Wood has also been defining its own sustainability goals, including setting emission reduction targets that align to global carbon ambitions. In 2020, Wood committed to reduce global scope 1 & 2 emissions by 40% by 2030. To help achieve this, Wood has strengthened its global sustainability team with the appointment of  Anne Williamson as Vice President in its Consulting business.

Anne Williamson previously served as a client account manager and regional sector leader within Wood’s Americas business. She brings more than 30 years of experience in industry and consulting with a strong background in environmental strategies, sustainability, and project development.
