Wood has been appointed by KfW IPEX-Bank as the lender’s technical advisor on a large portfolio of Neoen-developed wind farm projects in France.

The 105 MW portfolio comprises two brownfield and six greenfield wind projects including Auxois Sud in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Vallée aux Grillons and Pays-Chaumontais in the Grand-Est region, Champs d’Amour and Chassepain in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region.

Wood’s expert team of engineers and consultants are providing a full due diligence scope of work which includes reviewing and mitigating technical and commercial risks related to noise and power performance assessment issues. The due diligence phase will be followed by construction and operation monitoring activities.

Wood has a longstanding relationship with both KfW IPEX-Bank and Neoen providing engineering and technical advisory services to their wind farm projects.

We look forward to continuing this partnership on their impressive portfolio bringing added value through our clean energy capability and extensive experience in France.

Bob MacDonald, CEO, Specialist Technical Solutions, Wood

The portfolio is financed in several tranches and the last projects are expected to reach financial close in 2018. To date, seven wind farm projects have successfully reached financial close.

We are pleased to have Wood as lender’s technical advisor on this portfolio. The clean energy team has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, especially in France. We look forward to working with Wood in the future as we continue to build our portfolio of wind projects.
