Wood’s Chief Executive, Robin Watson, had the honour of opening the Scottish Parliament’s annual Business in Parliament Conference, the theme of which was “Agents of Change: Scottish Business Leading the Way”.

Giving the keynote speech at the conference today (Friday 8 November), Robin gave an insight into Wood’s heritage, evolution, the transformation of the company over the past few years and our strategy and future direction. He shared the stage with Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, during the event attended by more than 150 delegates from UK business and government.

Speaking of the event, Robin said: “Wood is a great example of a Scottish success story. Now a major international player with vast and diverse capabilities and a 60,000 strong community solving customer challenges in 60 locations worldwide, we occupy a global position that was born in Scotland. I was honoured to share an insight into the talent and experience that powers our success and positions us strongly for an ambitious future.”
