Wood, a global leader in consulting and engineering, has secured two five-year framework agreements with Equinor to provide maintenance and modifications (M&M) services and large modifications projects for installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) and the associated onshore plants.
Installations will be formally assigned after contract signing, planned in week 4. Wood is intended to provide M&M services on Snorre A and B which are integral to Norway’s oil and gas sector. Wood has supported these assets with maintenance, repair and modifications expertise since 2016.
Additionally, Wood is a qualified bidder for upcoming tenders for large modifications projects at offshore installations on the NCS and onshore plants, which will focus on extending asset life, improving production and reducing climate and environmental footprints.
Equinor has the ability to extend the contracts for a further three and two years, to a total of ten years.
Steve Nicol, Executive President of Operations at Wood, said: “These agreements reflect our shared commitment to safe, reliable and efficient operations. Our collaboration with Equinor extends beyond Norway to the UK and Brazil, where we apply our engineering and operations expertise across their global portfolio. We look forward to leveraging this experience and our continuous improvement approach to optimise performance and extend asset life across Norwegian assets.”
Work will be delivered by Wood employees based in Norway, supported by the Company’s global engineering network.
