Wood announces new office, expanding EPCm delivery in Pittsburgh

Wood is pleased to announce the opening of its new office in Moon Township, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The team based out of this office will provide engineering, procurement, and construction management services to the refining and specialty chemicals industries.

Wood has been actively delivering project work for Shell in the Pittsburgh area since 2020, providing engineering, procurement and site support to the Shell Polymers Monaca Polyethylene Facility Program for capital projects and debottlenecking managements of change. Over 170 scopes have been successfully completed with up to 60 full-time multidiscipline engineers and designers.

The local Wood team moved into the new office at 300 Corporate Center Drive, Moon Township, Pittsburgh, PA in December 2024. The new office, located just 15 minutes from Pittsburgh Airport, boasts a flexible office layout of approximately 4,660 square feet, with a capacity for up to 28 people. The facility includes conference and meeting rooms, cafeteria space, gym facilities and onsite parking.

The Wood team in this Pittsburgh office will deliver a wide range of capabilities, including project management, project engineering, feasibility and concept selection, front-end engineering, detailed design services, project controls, process engineering, mechanical engineering, piping engineering and design, civil and structural engineering and design, electrical engineering and design, instrumentation and control engineering and design, document control, procurement and supply chain management, site and construction support, vibration analysis, noise assessment, and laser scanning.
