Wood has appointed industry veteran Jesús Pulido as Operations Director of its U.S. Minerals & Metals business.

Jesús brings with him 30 years of international experience in high-profile project delivery, portfolio management and operations across major mining and engineering companies, including Rio Tinto, CH2M, Jacobs, Worley and Thyssenkrupp Mining.

Craig Shanaghey, Executive President of Projects at Wood, said: “Jesús joins Wood at an exciting time where global efforts to decarbonize are increasing demand for key metals to support the energy transition, such as copper, nickel, lithium, and rare earths.

“With a 60-year history of advancing complex mining projects from study through start-up, along with expertise in renewables, carbon capture and circular economy solutions, Wood is designing the future of minerals and metals. I am delighted to welcome Jesús to lead the charge in meeting the U.S. market opportunity.”

Jesús is based in Denver, Colorado.
