With over 20 years of experience in the energy services sector, Mala has strategically led the Massy Wood team in the areas of maintenance management, engineering, procurement and construction services.
Mala advanced from Human Resources Manager to Chief Operations Officer before assuming her current role as the company's CEO. Beyond her corporate leadership, Mala is deeply committed to shaping the future of the local energy industry.
She currently serves as Chair of the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Chamber, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering industry collaboration, advocating for investment and driving initiatives that support a sustainable energy sector.

In Trinidad, Massy Wood’s Graduate Development Program continues to grow with cohorts of young professionals joining across disciplines such as engineering, construction, quality and commercial. These graduates rotate through key business areas, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and solutions. Their development is closely supported through regular check-ins, progress reviews and feedback sessions, complemented by business skills workshops. In Guyana, Massy Wood partners with the University of Guyana to offer a six-month engineering internship program. Interns in electrical, mechanical and civil disciplines work alongside experienced professionals on live projects, gaining hands-on experience and technical insight. The programme also includes site visits to Massy Wood’s operations in Trinidad.
