Heat treatment

Wood provides versatile, turnkey heat treatment service solutions for a variety of industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, construction, fabrication, chemical manufacturing, marine, defence and pharmaceutical.

Operating in often demanding and hazardous environments, we extend and protect the life span of structural assets, increasing longevity and durability of steel structures to maximise plant and equipment utilisation and return on investment.

The services available are:

  • Conventional heat treatment
  • Induction systems
  • Line thaws
  • Coating curing
  • Coating removal
  • Passive fire protection (PFP) removal
  • Exchanger shell expansion
  • De-icing valves and compressor housings
  • Hydrogen release and bake-out
  • Hub and coupling expansion

These services are available on a stand-alone basis or can be combined with the mechanical, commissioning and installations services in our SafeZone positive pressure habitats. Coupling these with our in-house engineering capabilities enables us to provide bespoke cradle-to-grave solutions.

Our service capability ranges from small projects to large and complex scopes, and our highly skilled and trained personnel are able to deploy quickly to support your requirements. Our project management capability extends to the most demanding refurbishment and maintenance work, including operating in logistically challenging and hazardous environments.

Because your repairs are ad hoc, we have invested in a comprehensive range of specialist plant and equipment that is available at short notice to ensure the continuity, reliability and responsiveness of our heat treatment services, which can be applied to greenfield, brownfield or decommissioning projects.
